In the process of dealing with pictures, there’s always somewhere we want to modify them. Emphasizing is just one of these modifications in the photoshop.
Today we will learn some skills about that. Let’s begin!
1. Blurring the background
You can select the background part and blur them directly. It’s one of the simplest ways. Now let’s compare the difference about the original one and modified one.
Select the object → feather gently, invert → blur the district
2. Spotlighting the target
You can deepen and darken the district except the main body when processing, the effect of which is very evident.
Build a new layer, select the object with circle tool, and feather it, then invert.
Set the foreground color for black and pad the district and use the multiply mode. The degree of opaqueness should be decrease to 75%.
3. Enlarging the main body
Enlarge what you want others to pay attention, either the whole or the part of the main body is ok. That makes it stand head and shoulders above others.
Enlarge the canvas first and then the object you want to give prominence to.
3.Using colors to guide
When introducing people or products, it is likely that there are too many colors in a picture, we can make the other parts go grey properly or use the color that is close to the main body’s to identify the color lumps.
As we can see in the picture above, the certain child will be more shining if its color matches the color underneath the picture.
5. Using outlines and lines to illustrate
To decrease the part that is not that related to the theme of the picture, meanwhile exaggerate the related.
We use outline just to draw a rough pattern of the mobile but illustrate the load on it. And the magic effect is so obvious.
6. Weakening the part
Spotlight on one part of a whole thing and weaken other parts of the picture.
To outline the car in a vector software, set the background for color in the photoshop. Make sure that the picture overlap well.
Add the vector mask in the outline layer and set the color of the foreground for black. At last, we choose a soft brush to daub the front of the car, and we make it.
7. Color-matching and tailoring
Tailor what you want to exaggerate and beautify it properly.
We make it with three following steps.
Open it in the RGB mode and tailor the picture.
Use the eyedropper tool to suck the color of hair, the black color, and set the background for it. Set the color of the face for grey except eyes.
Suck the color of the eyes and use it into the words.
8. Guiding with the line
Use line or arrowhead to mark the area you emphasize, thus catching the reader’s attention.
The line won’t destroy the whole aesthetic feeling at all. On the contrary, it makes us put much emphasis on her lip. Don’t you think it’s attracting?
