Now new year’s day holiday has been a past, but giving and receiving presents still leave a very deep impression on us. During this vocation, you must have seen a lot of packages of the presents. However, have you ever seen these packages on line? In this tutorial, we will learn to make a beautiful gift box package. Maybe after the tutorial you can make one for your friends. The process is not that difficult. We may mainly focus on the pen tool and the layer style. Now let’s begin and then do it yourself. Here is the impression drawing.
1. Build a new document with 480*350 size and white background color. Create a new layer to make the top side of the gift box, then use pen tool to portrait the route and convert it to the electoral district and pad color #FC231E.
2. Create another new layer and portrait the side route of the box with pen tool and pad #D31814. You can apply a little Gauss blur and add the gradient overlay mode: the opaqueness is 58%, the angle is 108 and the zoom is 132%, aligned with the layer, don’t forget to choose opposition.
3. Build a new layer to make the rest side, the method is like step 2, but the values of opaqueness, angle and zoom the gradient have changed, they are respectively 76%, -143 and 100% in the overlay mode.
4. Build a new layer and use a brush with artistic decorative pattern, and click on the layer then merge the two layers, meanwhile, erase the needless part.
5. Create a new layer and use pen tool to make a riband with padding color #FEDE93, then add the gradient overlay mode: the values of the opaqueness, angle and zoom are respectively 100%, 115 and 139%, still aligned with the layer. Use the same way to make another riband: the values of the angle and zoom has changed to 79 and 100%.
6. Then we can add a bowknot on the box, the method is like what we do with the riband. If you consider it difficult, you can find a material on line and change the size and color. You can adjust the saturation and add some shadow effect to make it more natural.
7. Create a new layer and pad black-red gradual change and add the bevel boss mode: choose the grain effect, the zoom is 100% and the deepness is 30%, and link with layer.
8. Copy the layer and execute the zoom effect, add the black-white gradual change, fuse the fringe, then execute the perspective effect.
9. Subtractive and additive the color by your own favor and add some artistic words and decorative patterns on it. Here it is.
