In the photoshop environment, compounding is one of the most useful skills. It can produce a lot of effect that you can not imagine. However, commanding this skill is far from enough, it is because there is another factor that should be involved in, such as coloring. Yes, coloring plays a very important role in compounding pictures. When you formulate a perfect color scheme, the compounding skills would be very fabulous and finally become a unique picture. Now let’s see the magic.
1. Open the cloud material and drag it into the picture, and adjust its position with the keys Ctrl +T. Then set the values in the layer style: the color of blend if is grey, and the value of next layer is 141.
2. Select a block of cloud, copy it and adjust its position and put it on the dome. Then select the layer style: the values of the next layer are 46/217. Next seal the layer. Then open the balloon layer and change it to the color mode and adjust the color and the opaqueness of the balloon.
3. Seal the layer and convert to the CMYK color, then choose the green channel, set the soft mode with the 50% opaqueness; the set of red channel is multiply mode with 50% opaqueness; the set of yellow channel is soft light mode with opposition effect and 100% opaqueness.
4. Back to the RGB channel and choose the green channel and apply the blue channel to the green one, use the filter mode with 40% opaqueness.
5. Create a color balance layer and set the values: the shadow color balance with the color gradation is -22, 0, +44; the middle tone with 0, -6, -17; the highlight with +5, 0, -5. Then we seal the layer and use usm sharpening: the quantity is 25%, and the radius ia 31.9 pixels and the threshold is 2.
6. Open the curves adjustment layer and choose contrast stretch in the preinstall column. Create the selective color adjustment layer: the yellow color setting is -20%(green), 0%(carmine), -30%(yellow) and -27%(black); the red color setting is -12%(green), 0%(carmine), -15%(yellow) and -13%(black). Then pad the black in the mask and erase the face of the body with white brush and make the final effect.
