Photoshop Tutorial: How To Make a Clear and Gorgeous Rose Flower

Color arrangement is a very important skill in the environment of photoshop, with which we can remake a photograph and make it more eye catching. In today’s tutorial, we will learn to make a beautiful rose flower. We will not feel its charm until the flower has been polished and shined carefully. So it is time to learn some useful but simple skills to beautify the flower. Here is the comparison between impression drawing and the original one.

1. Open the material figure and copy the background layer. Then choose the color gradient and set the color gradation: the input value is 0, 1.28, 255; the output value is 0, 255.

2. Then create a selective color adjustment layer. For the black color: green +14%, red +7%, yellow +2%, black 0%. For the white color: green 28%, the others 0%.

3. Then create a curve adjustment layer and set the RGB parameter: the input value is 144, the output value is 164.

4. Create a color balance adjustment layer: the color gradation is -4, 0, +9, shadow. Then comes to another: +7, 0, -14, highlight.

5. Then set up the color balance adjustment layer again: the color gradation is -5, 0, -3, shadow. The other one is -6, 0, -7, highlight.

6. Create a layer with color #000033, and convert the layer to exclusion mode. Then set up color balance layer and set the values: the color gradation is +61, -8, +25, middle tone. Next set up the selective color layer and adjust the middle neutral color: green -1%, red -7%, yellow -24% and black -20%.

7. Create a new layer and seal it, then convert to the soft light mode with 30% opaqueness. Create a new layer again and seal it then execute the USM sharpen effect: quantity of 134%, radius of 0.5 pixels and threshold value of 0 pixel. Then execute lens correction: quantity of -23 and brightness of +44.

8. Create a color balance layer: the color gradation is -19, +13, +12, shadow.

9. Then execute HDR clear treatment filter ( you can download it on the internet), and set the value until the effect of the flower is pretty.

10. At last, adjust the whole color arrangement and there comes to the final product!

The skills of color application is a must in the course of photograph process. In this tutorial,we will learn to make the color more clearly and brightly. Furthermore, we will make the flower more outstanding. The rough idea is to make the background much darker and execute some blur effect. And the following is the comparison of the two pictures.

1. Open the material figure and copy it with the keys CTRL + J. Convert the layer to multiply mode and change the opaqueness to 60%.

2. Create a selective color adjustment layer and set the values of green color: green +7%, yellow +68%.

4. Then set up the curve adjustment layer again and change the values as follows:

5. Create a new layer, fulfilling color 3132947 and convert it to the multiply mode. Add layer mask and smear the flower part with the grey color brush. Then create a new layer and seal it with the keys CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + E. Then execute Gauss blur with 5 pixels. Next add the layer mask and smear the flower part with black color brush.

6. Copy the present layer and convert it to the soft light mode, change the opaqueness of the layer to 60%

8. Create a new layer and execute the gradual change from black color to white color, a radial change from center to surrounding. Then convert it to multiply mode with 40% opaqueness. Then add a layer mask and smear the middle part with black color brush.

9. Then change the values of the brightness/contrast adjustment layer: brightness of 0 pixel, contrast of +6.

10. Then adjust the whole color arrangement. Here is the final product. Does it look pretty beautiful?

1. Build a document and open a background material as follows. Move the picture into the document and make it fit the size of the canvas.

2. Choose the text tool in the tool case and make the following settings:

After that, input the word “love” in such form of the character.

3. Choose the text layer and execute the procedure in the following: layer → rasterize → text, thus converting the text layer to an ordinary one.

4. Double click the text layer and there comes the layer style dialog box, and we choose: shadow → inner glow → bevel and emboss, remember the RGB color of the shadow is 33, 30, 64. And the inner glow color is 239, 234, 91.

5. Use the option of elliptical marquee tool to choose the tip of the text and execute the following step: filter → twirl.

6. Then open some flower and leaf materials to decorate the text.

7. Choose all the flower layers and merge them into one layer. Click the final layer and the text layer with pressing the ALT key. Build a clipping mask group and use some flowers to decorate the text.

8. Merge the flower layer and text layer, then press CTRL+T to add free transform checkbox and make the text flip vertical. At last, add the mask to it and protract gradual change and set the opaqueness for 30%. The following is the final product.
