Today we will learn some skills about the brush tool. Now let’s begin! The following is the ultimate impression drawing.</p>

<p><span id="more-1638"></span> </p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 000" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="297" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 000" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush000.jpg" width="500" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>1. Build a new document with a black color background, and then build a new layer and try to draw out the following effect.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 001" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="297" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 001" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush001.jpg" width="500" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>2. Build another layer and choose the brush tool of a specific effect (lightmap effect), then draw the track of such effect.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 002" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="261" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 002" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush002.jpg" width="500" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>3. Build a third layer and choose an appropriate color in order to use the rainbow effect on the layer.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 003" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="288" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 003" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush003.jpg" width="500" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>4. Press the CTRL key and click the layer with the crescent pattern. Meanwhile, press CTRL+SHIFT together to load the layer with lightmap effect into the same electoral district.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 004" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="286" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 004" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush004.jpg" width="492" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>5. After that, choose the button of add and layer mask, now the following effect appears.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 005" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="288" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 005" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush005.jpg" width="495" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>6. Then add the parameters for both the two layers. We choose outer glow as its basic style, the mixed model is overlapping, and the opaqueness is 75% with a mild picture element and enlarge it to 12%. After that, execute Gaussian Blur of 4 pixels in the layer mask mode, which turns out to be a dreamlike effect.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 006" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="292" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 006" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush006.jpg" width="498" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>7. Build a new layer with your favorite color and choose the radial gradients from foreground to transparency. And apply such gradient to a small district in this layer and again you should set the layer style, overlapping mixed model with white color, and the opaqueness is 100%, and at last you should lower the padding to 64% or so.</p>
<p>8. Create a new layer and decorate it with the brush tool and dauber, modify the layer style according to the preceding step.</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 007" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="341" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 007" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush007.jpg" width="500" border="0" /> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>9. Copy the layer of lightmap and use the dauber to have an overall modification, thus making it more dynamic!</p>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="500" border="1">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="500"><img title="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 008" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="291" alt="DoNotYet Tutorial Of Making An Effect Of Shadow With A Brush 008" src="http://www.donotyet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/DoNotYetTutorialOfMakingAnEffectOfShadowWithABrush008.jpg" width="497" border="0" /></td>
